Healthy habits to age and live well with dementia

A wellness approach to reducing our risk of developing dementia includes increasing our physical activity; eating a Mediterranean diet, avoiding excess alcohol and tobacco.  Keeping our blood pressure and blood sugar levels low and managing our cholesterol are all proactive approaches to ageing well.  If you would like to know more about healthy habits to age and live well with dementia then please join us for our complimentary Living Well With Dementia event on the 27th September  from 11.00am- 1.00pm at Dee Why RSL.

Listen to CCNB Occupational Therapist Debra Milligan as she talks about falls prevention and what changes can be made in the home to ensure it is a safe environment.

Get moving with some gentle exercise led by Ageless Grace that will focus on the healthy longevity of the body and mind.

Meet others who are living well with dementia and talk to the CCNB team to see how we can help you.

We will be giving away lucky door prizes of Maggie Beer’s cookbook – Maggie’s Recipe for Life containing healthy dementia friendly recipes to support reducing your risk of developing dementia.

There will be tea and coffee on arrival and light finger food at the end of the event.
