Social Prescription – Treatment Options for Loneliness and Isolation
July 3, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Can loneliness and isolation be resolved with social prescribing?
Specifically tailored for GPs, this session will facilitate critical thinking and discuss the benefits of social prescription for patients and GPs.
Participants will leave with a simple and accessible social prescription pathway. An interactive session with peers will be facilitated to deepen participants knowledge and understanding of:
- isolation and loneliness;
- who is most vulnerable and how to spot the signs;
- contemporary evidence of social prescription;
- building a sustainable business model through complimentary social prescription.
